Bleached out jeans seem to be all the rage this season. THAT and the old hole-y ripped up shredded look is back.. Both looks are so easy to DIY. You have to be retarded if you cant rip up some denim (HA) As for bleaching em out heres a simple how-to.

Things You'll Need
Jeans
Bucket
Rubber gloves
Apron
Sponge
Thick bleach
Water
Newspaper

Buy some cheap blue jeans. Dark blue works very well, but you can get outstanding results with blue jean coloured denim.
Take off the label from the top of the waistband.
Take a plastic bucket, large enough to hold your jeans folded up. Place it on a thick layer of newspaper.
Fill the bucket about 3/4 of the way with water.
Add the bleach according to how much you want (no more than 1-2 cups is necessary).
Put on an apron and some rubber gloves and get going. Bleach a little at a time.
Wet a sponge with thick bleach, and dab the outline of one of the back pockets, making sure the bleach goes on both the pocket and the material next to the pocket. Trace the outline of the pocket, and dab bleach onto the belt loops and any other areas you see fit with your gloved hands or the sponge.
Leave bleach for about 5 minutes (any longer, and you will have some seriously white jeans).
Remove the pocket you outlined, and you should see a stencil mark of a pocket (optional).
Machine wash jeans by themselves.

TIPS
You can also use a paint brush to splatter the jeans with bleach. Remember the gloves!
You can also twist each leg of the jeans (maybe get someone to help) and then tie them together in a knot and then place in the bucket of bleach and water, but keep a close eye on it. This will give you a lovely tie-dyed effect.
You can also hang your jeans from a clothes line and use an old paintbrush to spatter the jeans in spots with the bleach solution, but make sure the dog and cat are out of the way first!
You may also want to add some cuts to the jeans. Horizontal ones work best, and the cuts shouldn't be more than 2 inches long. Re-wash the jeans with conditioner, and the areas you cut should become frayed.
You can also put a solution of about 70% bleach 30% water into a spray bottle. Spray the thighs and back pockets to give the jeans that weathered look.

WARNINGS
Bleach burns and whitens everything, so be very careful.
Those gloves are really important so don't forget.
DO NOT MIX bleach with ammonia (eg.windex) it produces a toxic gas that is potentially lethal.
